In a research study conducted by Ousler, Anderson, and Osborn, senofilcon A contact lenses and control (habitual) lenses were compared for patients' ocular comfort in response to a variety of adverse environmental conditions, including wind, low humidity, and visual tasks. Subjects reported improved comfort during exposure to these adverse conditions while wearing senofilcon A contact lenses as opposed to the habitual lenses. In addition, overall discomfort scores were better with senofilcon A lenses than wearing no lens at all.
